In the Shadow of Greatness , a collection of personal an revealing first person accounts by Naval and Marine officers who have served since 9/11.
The leadership story of 2nd Lt. Andrew Torres, USMC, a graduate of Flintridge Prep (’98) and Annapolis (’02) is highlighted in the book. Lt. Torres died of cancer in 2004.

The authors wrote
In the Shadow of Greatness to share the unique perspective of this new generation of veterans and highlight the service and sacrifice of military members during the last ten years of war.
